Bali Tourism - can it get it's act together

This blog is for those who are interested in the health of Bali tourism. Bali is of course the true Island Paradise and one of the safest places in the world to visit. The image of Bali was badly damaged by the Kuta bombing of 2002 but unfortuantely the Tourism industry in Bali has failed to address the concerns of potential visitors.

The situation is not helped by tourism officials who continually quote ever increasing numbers of visitors to Bali, It may be that more people are arriving through the airport but how long these people stay and how much and where they spend their money is not recorded or assessed. As a result while the officials justify their jobs and convince themselves they are doing well the people of Bali are suffering from decreased visitor numbers and economic failure.

There is much that can be done and we need to make a start.
